RESTORATIVE YOGA & YIN

Restorative moments that help you get out of your mind & drop into your body. Freeing your mind and uplifting your spirit.

My restorative yoga and yin sessions provide you an opportunity to reconnect to your body, regulate your nervous system and restore physically, mentally and emotionally. Helping you get out of a constant state of stress (your sympathetic nervous system), slow down and tap into your ventral vagal state (the state your nervous system is in when you feel safe and connected within and you body can heal itself).

A Note From Tami

How I Came To Yoga

Yoga came into my life during a time filled with uncertainty and challenges. When I encountered yoga, it blew my mind. The practice made me feel different than any other movement – it made me feel ‘lighter’. I’ve always had a quiet anxious & restless mind, in yoga I was able to get out of my mind & drop into my body. The only time I found moments of peace, pure presence & flow. It became my safe space. Yoga allowed me to have a connection to my body & self that I never thought possible - finding a home within.

Focus On the Nervous System

My holistic method was born from my own mental health challenges - I didn’t feel safe nor connected to my body. It was during that time that I first heard about the polyvagal theory. I got curious & began my own research. What I have found is that the common thread between anxiety, depression, fatigue, burn out, emotional overwhelm, insomnia, hormonal imbalances (the list goes on) is stress. According to the polyvagal theory this means you are living in a sympathetic (fight or flight) or dorsal (shut-down) state most of the time - opposed to the ventral vagal state which is associated with safety & connection.

Restorative yoga, yin and our breath can help us tap into our ventral vagal state - the state in which you feel safe and connected within and your body can heal itself.

Your body is your one true home. I want you to feel safe in it.
